Hurricane David hit on my 12th birthday. My mother tried to make it special by cooking breakfast on a candle…lol..My uncle/aunt Mike and Elaine drove all the way from Indiana to West Palm Beach and didn’t even know they were driving through a hurricane. We lived at 43 Davis Rd in Palm Spring and lost a couple of fruit trees but thankfully we were all safe and made the best of it.
